National Diabetes Prevention Program IN-PERSON

The Diabetes Prevention Research Group has shown that making moderate lifestyle changes can prevent type 2 diabetes in adults who are at high risk. As a result, the Center for Disease Control created the National Diabetes Prevention Program. The University of Utah now offers this 12-month science-based education and lifestyle modification program to adults. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn how to make healthy food choices, build physical activity into your daily routine and decrease your risk for type 2 diabetes!

Prerequesite:

Participants must be elgible per CDC criteria. Please go to https://healthcare.utah.edu/wellness/national-diabetes-prevention-program/#eligibilityfornationaldiabetespreventionprogram  to determine elgibility. 

 

Cost Information / Refund Policy:

University of Utah employees are eligibile for reduced program fees. You will be required to provide an active UID number during registration. 

A processing fee of ten dollars ($10.00) will be charged for each refund request. If the request is made after the first session or any materials are distributed, the refund will be pro-rated to reflect the percentage of sessions attended minus the $10 processing fee and cost of materials.
