Zumba

Description:

We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check.

When you register for any fitness class, you'll also gain access to our Fitness On-Demand canvas course. This course is a virtual library filled with numerous recorded fitness classes, giving you the flexibility to participate whenever it suits you!

  Emi Takahashi

Emi was born and raised in Japan, and she was introduced to Zumba when she was attending the exchange program at Baylor University. Since then, she has been passionate about Zumba for about 15 years. She got certified in teaching Zumba in 2020, right before the pandemic started. She lost any chances to teach Zumba in person for a while, but she didn’t want to give up teaching Zumba in person. She started teaching Zumba via Zoom in 2021. Since she started, she really enjoys not only teaching, but also meeting friends from all over the world. Also, she enjoys getting connected with the instructors in person and online. She had a couple of opportunities to co-teach with many instructors in person when she was in Omaha, NE, before she moved to Utah last year, as well as lots of experiences of collaborating with many instructors from multiple countries. She believes that Zumba brings us smiles and good vibes even when we feel down. With the upbeat songs, let’s dance and move and have some fun!!
