  Jendar Morales
Jendar Marie Morales was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2008 while living in New York City, she injured one of her knees. Looking for a less strenuous workout to help heal her knee, Jendar began to practice yoga. She immediately fell in love with the practice for how it made her feel both physically and mentally. Jendar has studied various styles of yoga including Bikram, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Hatha. She is now a Yoga Alliance Registered master teacher focusing on Hatha, Vinyasa and restorative styles of yoga. In addition to her yoga studies, Jendar holds an MA in Museum Studies from New York University. She currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she helps run the University of Utah Yoga Teacher Training and teaches yoga all around the city. Jendar is also the director and curator of Mestizo Gallery. It is her love for both yoga and the arts that inspired her to create Raíces Yoga & Culture Retreat.
